New Visa Available for Ireland

The Irish Department of Justice has recently announced the extension of the five-year multiple entry short-stay visa option to all visa-required countries. This new visa option enables eligible applicants to make one application for a five-year multi-entry visa, which is particularly useful for frequent business or family travelers. Previously, only Chinese passport holders were eligible for this visa option, while other countries were limited to one, two, or three-year multi-entry visas. However, authorities have now extended the eligibility for the five-year multi-entry visa to all visa-required countries.

Although the multi-entry visa may be approved for some business travelers with no prior travel history to Ireland, certain conditions apply. The visa permits the holder to travel to Ireland multiple times during the visa’s specified dates. Additionally, the standard single-entry visa option remains available for those who prefer it.

It’s important to note that the granting of a multi-entry visa is at the discretion of the relevant Visa Officer, as with all visa applications. Overall, this new visa option is expected to further enhance tourism and strengthen ties between Ireland and other countries.
